A recent security update has been released by cPanel & WHM on April 28, 2026. This update addresses a security issue related to multiple authentication paths and affects all currently supported versions.
Our team has reviewed the release and confirms that it is safe and fully supported on all shared licensing systems. We strongly recommend updating your server as soon as possible to ensure continued security.
Before proceeding with the cPanel update:
The issue has been resolved in the following versions:
If you manage your server manually, log in via SSH as root and run:
<span>/scripts/upcp --force</span>
After completing the update, you must refresh your license using SSH.
Important Notice:
Keeping both your OS and cPanel updated is critical for server security and stability. Systems running outdated environments are at higher risk and may not receive future patches.

Important Requirement (Must Read)
Before proceeding with the cPanel update:
- You must ensure your operating system is still supported
- If your OS is outdated or EOL, upgrade your OS first
- Running cPanel updates on unsupported OS versions may lead to failures or security risks

How to Apply the Update
If you manage your server manually, log in via SSH as root and run:
<span>/scripts/upcp --force</span>
Important After Update
After completing the update, you must refresh your license using SSH.
- Always use SSH (recommended via PuTTY)
Do NOT use WHM Terminal for this process
